The summer school will take place at Hôtel du Cap Hornu, in a park of 15 hectares overlooking the Baie de Somme. Close to the medieval city of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, this charming establishment with its typical architecture is ideally located to explore the Baie de Somme. With its 91 rooms accomodating up to 100 people, the Hotel du Cap Hornu is perfectly suited to host this summer school. Participants will be sharing a comfortable double room with another participant.
Baie de Somme
The Baie de Somme is a territory located on the coast of Picardy and member of the Club of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World. This is an exceptional space, a patchwork of lagoons, marshes, dunes, and saltwater meadows. Recognized internationally for its remarkable natural environment and the quality of its landscape, the Baie de Somme is a major French migratory bird corridor. Widgeon, shell duck, curlew, oystercatcher can be seen next to harbor seals and salt marsh.
On monday 24th and friday 28th, a shuttle service will be provided between the Gare de Noyelles-sur-Mer station and the hotel. The Noyelles-sur-Mer station is easily reachable from Paris in 2 hours. On the same dates, a shuttle bus will also be provided between Compiègne and the hotel. The details will be announced in due course.
